I have always been interested in travel. When I joined Deloitte, I had never been to the Caribbean. Shortly afterwards, I was asked to represent the firm at a meeting in St. Martin. I attended the meeting for two days. After the meeting, I stayed on for two days and drove around the island. Bermuda is an isolated island, 700 miles from the nearest landmass, but at various points in St. Martin, you can get a good view of Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barts, and Anguilla. This was like magic to me! I was hooked!
